2015

Full-Time Freelancer

After leaving my job at American University in July 2015, I decided to cut the stress due to the ungodly, long daily commute by bus and metro that was having an adverse effect both on my physical health and my sanity. I was fortunate enough to be in a professional field where all the work can be done remotely. I owned all the necessary equipment and software to work offsite, and, with the help of email, phone, and conference calls, I could communicate in a timely and effective manner with clients anywhere. I therefore decided to freelance full time. So far, I’ve been lucky to work with great clients such as the National Health Law Program, Fairfax Woman Magazine, and International Arts Fund, as well as collaborate with a friend who also runs her own design and editing business. I’m now in the process of expanding my client base, so if you like what you see and would like me to design or write for you, don’t be shy and hit me up! 🙂
